A suspended load test measures the drag and hoist forces per rope, the weight of the empty bucket + rigging, the payload, and the fill factor within mutliple dig cycles.
A suspended load test provides answers to the following questions:
- What is the payload, actual suspended load, and fill factor per cycle?
- What is the minumum, maximum, and average payload & suspended load?
- What are the hoist & drag forces?
- What is the minimum, maximum, and average force per rope?
- What is the % load share per rope?
- What phase of the dig cycle are the maximum forces occuring?
- Is there spillage or washout occuring in the carry position?
- Is the bucket sized properly for the machines rated suspended load (RSL)?
